Per the notice below, the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) is highlighting July as Disability Pride Month and providing resources for both employers and employees on best practices for handling disabilities in the workplace.

July is Disability Pride Month.  The Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law on July 26, 1990, to protect the rights of people with disabilities against employment discrimination.  Read about how the NYSDOL ensures access for individuals with disabilities.
