The New York State Board of Regents has issued its proposed State Budget and legislative priorities for the 2026-27 State Budget and 2026 legislative session.  The professions are hardly mentioned at all other than wanting more overall money and for the New York State Education Department to have the authority to spend it.  You can read the Regents State Budget and legislative priorities here: 2026-2027 Regents Budget and Legislative Priorities.
